The School of Communication Sciences of the Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala provides comprehensive training to social communication professionals, with solid knowledge, and skills that allow them to perform satisfactorily in the fields of advertising, journalism, speech, and multimedia production. Inform and form public opinion with ethics and responsibility. At FACCOM we have the necessary tools, laboratories, audio, image, and postproduction studios for the knowledge, and creative skills that the career of Communication Sciences requires.
To train human resources integrally by providing knowledge and techniques that facilitate future communicators in a more creative way, with the best performance through their specialization in Advertising, Journalism and Speech, within a humanistic, academic and technological framework, complemented by experienced professional professors, the mass communication of 21st century requires.
To be an entrepreneurial academic School at the service of society, through the generation of new professionals in social media, and its different disciplines, in Guatemala and abroad.
At Universidad Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala we are proud to offer a complete, and updated
curriculum, designed to train highly qualified professionals.
We have specialized laboratories in digital photography, computer design, and two
cutting-edge audio studios. In addition, our online UMG radio will provide invaluable
hands-on training experience.
We know that time is precious, that's why we offer two study plans: the virtual daily
evening plan, which allows flexibility with classes from Monday to Friday from 17:00 to
21:30 hours, and the in-person weekend plan, ideal for those who prefer to have their
classes on Saturdays from 07:00 to 18:00.
The length of our bachelor's degrees is 5 years, guaranteeing a complete, and solid
education in the area of communication.
Our commitment is to provide high-quality education so that you can stand
out and succeed in any communication field in this area.

team

He is a communicator with more than 30 years of work in the media, with
experience in executive, and leadership positions. Advisor in communication,
producer and presenter of several programs for different radio networks; former
director of General Directorate of National Radio Broadvasting and Television and Radio TGW.
University professor and guest lecturer and moderator in academic programs.
Corporate events host.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, a Master's Degree in Reengineering
and Quality Assurance Technologies (CUM LAUDE Recognition) and a Doctorate in
Education (CUM LAUDE Recognition) from the Graduate School of the School of
Humanities at the Mariano Galvez University of Guatemala.

He has more than 15 years of experience working in radio and in different social
communication units.
Automation consultant for radio stations, mastering different digital tools.
Producer and editor of audio and video. He coordinates the automation of UMG
Radio.
