The teaching program has a duration of three years; it is focused on the training of people who wish to assume the commitment of teaching at the secondary level, specifically in the area of social sciences and citizenship education.
The curricular design of the teaching program is aimed at preparing with academic excellence the professionals of the specialty to develop teaching competencies in the application of knowledge, technology and knowledge of the specialty; and at the same time valuing our culture, the community, the family and its relationship with other cultures in the national and international context.

The students of the High School Social Sciences and Citizenship Education Teacher Program, will develop skills and abilities that will allow them to analyze and understand their social environment and enable them to act critically and proactively. They will also consolidate an integral vision of social reality based on research of the country's historical processes. They will acquire knowledge skills and competencies to apply active methodologies for the design of impact educational processes with the incorporation of technological innovations.
