The teaching program lasts one year and is focused on the training of people who wish to take on the commitment of teaching at the secondary level, specifically in the area of social sciences and citizenship education.
The curricular design of the teaching program is aimed towards preparing with academic excellence professionals of the specialty to develop teaching competencies in the application of knowledge, technology and of the specialty; and at the same time valuing our culture, the community, the family and its relationship with other cultures in the national and international context.

The students of the Secondary School Teacher in Pedagogy, Social Sciences and Civic Education Program will develop skills and abilities that will allow them to analyze and understand their social environment and enable them to act critically and proactively. They will also consolidate an integral vision of social reality based on research of the country's historical processes. They will acquire knowledge, skills and competencies to apply active methodologies for the design of impact educational processes with the incorporation of technological innovations.
AdmissionProfile
Graduates of UMG, closed curriculum of any Secondary School Teacher Program, but must graduate before the previous Secondary School Teacher Program to obtain the degree of the one-year major in social sciences and civic education.
