Career description

The master's degree program lasts two years and is divided into eight semesters. Its content includes neurodevelopmental topics, neuropsychological evaluation of people of different age groups, neuropsychological evaluation tests, and research related to the topic of neuropsychology.

What will you learn during the program?

Students will learn prevention, intervention and rehabilitation of neuropsychological functioning as a consequence of brain injury or alterations in the neurodevelopment.

To promote the scientific and professional training of neuropsychologists, through self-training and socio-criticism that enable the generation of knowledge for the advancement of neurosciences and clinical neuropsychology.

In addition, students will learn to diagnose and intervene in cognitive, behavioral and emotional alterations produced by the dysfunction of the central nervous system.

Students will have the ability to differentiate between psychiatric and neurological disorders.

The master in neuropsychology possesses knowledge and develops methodological, practical and technical skills and abilities to offer strategies for the solution of the needs of the population in the field of neuropsychology, in order to prevent, diagnose, intervene, rehabilitate and design psychoeducational programs that meet social demands.

Graduates of this Master's Degree can work in the field of psychotherapy in private and public sectors, in psychotherapy clinics, and in psychological assistance institutions, among others.
