The program is theoretical-practical and provides knowledge on the anatomical and physiological bases of reproduction; evaluation of the obstetric and gynecological patient; comprehensive, quality and warmth care for pregnant women with pregnancy complications, and comprehensive medical care for patients with concomitant diseases.
Learning opportunities according to their training are attained by performing rotations in the different specialty areas in the gynecology and obstetrics services of practice centers.

During the Gynecology and Obstetrics career, you will acquire essential knowledge to understand the situation and health condition and determinants of the mother-child binomial. Through a comprehensive clinical evaluation, you will learn to recognize processes and entities related to women's health, by developing diagnostic, therapeutic and educational plans. The identification and treatment of the most frequent gynecological pathologies, as well as the application of indicated surgical approaches, will be a fundamental part of your training. In addition, the career will instill in you the application of values and ethical principles in the care of patients and their families, as well as in the relationships with the health team. You will be trained to interpret clinical, laboratory and radiological imaging findings, essential for the accurate diagnosis and appropriate medical or surgical treatment of women's diseases.
