The objective of this program is the training of specialists in oral rehabilitation, seeking to complement and deepen their professional training as a dental surgeon in the areas of oral rehabilitation: restorative and aesthetic dentistry, fixed prostheses, removable prostheses, implant prostheses, and occlusion. Being able in this way to acquire the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to diagnose, plan and execute the rehabilitative treatment of cases of medium and high complexity, forming part of a multidisciplinary work team. The program is structured based on subjects of basic dental sciences, subjects of complementary specialties to the task of oral rehabilitation, subjects of the specialty and subjects of clinical practice. Upon completion of this program, the Mariano Gálvez de Guatemala and the School of Dentistry will grant the certificate or master's degree in the corresponding specialty to each graduate.
- What will you learn during the program?

The student during the career will develop the skills and competencies to perform a basic functional exam, diagnose the oral condition and identify the specific pathologies of each patient, determining their degree of complexity to establish the prognosis.
Formulate the appropriate treatment plan for each patient, under a multidisciplinary approach.
Form multidisciplinary work teams, aimed at comprehensively treating the therapeutic needs of dental patients who require oral rehabilitation, coordinating their referral, evaluation and treatment, in conjunction with other specialties.
Execute the appropriate rehabilitation treatment for each patient, in such a way to recover their oral health and restore their social balance.
Acquire mastery of new techniques and/or perfect those known through clinical practice in the main areas of oral rehabilitation: fixed prosthetics, removable prosthetics, restorative dentistry, occlusion and implant prosthetics.

The applicant to pursue the Master's Degree in Oral Rehabilitation must have knowledge, skills, attitudes and values, which allow him to perform adequately in the development of the activities programmed within the curriculum, typical of the discipline. They must have basic knowledge of oral rehabilitation, know how to handle different dental materials, have a high level of competitiveness and the ability to integrate into an interdisciplinary team, using knowledge transfer, practice simplification and teamwork.
