Career description

The Agronomy Engineering program focuses on the integral study of agricultural systems and the management of natural resources. Disciplines related to soil science, crops, water management, and plant protection are addressed. Sustainable production techniques and agricultural biotechnology are presented in order to increase productivity while respecting the environment. In addition, economic and social issues related to the agricultural sector are addressed, preparing the professional to face global challenges such as food security and climate change.

What will you learn during the program?

The student will learn to develop production systems and agricultural chains from planning, operation, administration, to commercialization; using the necessary tools for the rational management of land, water, inputs, financial resources, human resources, equipment and infrastructure.
