This laboratory is focused on the development and application of numerical methods in engineering, with a special focus on computational mechanics. It is part of the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE), an organization that promotes advances in the use of computer-based computational techniques to solve engineering problems at an international level.

Here, students and researchers work on the implementation and analysis of numerical algorithms to simulate and solve mechanical problems. From structural modeling to fluid dynamics, the laboratory addresses a wide range of applications. In addition, collaboration and knowledge exchange between experts from different countries and cultures is encouraged. In essence, the computational mechanics lab is a dynamic environment where theory and practice merge to address engineering challenges from a global perspective.
