This laboratory is equipped with advanced technology for geospatial and surveying applications. Some of the outstanding pieces of equipment are:

  1. Dual-frequency GPS:
    • This high-precision device is used for surveying and geodetic applications.
    • It provides highly accurate coordinates, which is essential for mapping and precise location on the ground.
  2. 3D scanner:
    • The 3D scanner is a versatile tool that captures the shape and details of three-dimensional objects.
    • It can be used to digitalize buildings, terrain, structures, and other elements, generating accurate three-dimensional models.
  3. Computer Equipment and Software:
    • The laboratory is equipped with computers supported by specialized software.
    • Among the applications is ArcGIS, a leading geographic information systems (GIS) platform.
    • Students and professionals can use ArcGIS for spatial analysis, mapping, data visualization and much more.
