The structures and materials technology laboratory is provided with 22 different pieces of equipment to allow demonstrations of the structure's behavior. This includes reinforcements, bars, beams, suspension bridges and parabolic bridges. The characteristics and performance of these structures are explored by measuring deformations, pressure and compressive forces, moments, photoelastic tension tests, as well as free and forced vibration tests.
