The structural and materials technology laboratory is equipped with 22 different pieces of equipment that allow demonstrations of structural behavior. These pieces of equipment include trusses, bars, beams, suspension bridges, and parabolic bridges. Through measurements of deformations, pressure and compression stresses, moments, photoelastic stress tests, as well as free and forced vibration tests, the characteristics and performance of these structures are explored.
